Rakesh Sharma has rich experience working with large Indian and Multinational companies in FMCG, Manufacturing, Telecom, Steel & Infrastructure sectors.
Rakesh has held senior positions in US multinationals Gillette and Amway as Director and Senior Vice President HR. He has also worked in senior capacity as Group Head HR and Chief Human Resource officer in Indus Towers, Modi Olivetti, Eicher and Polyplex Corporation.
Being recognised as an HR professional with outstanding track record, Rakesh’s last stint has been with a 7,000 crore business group as Group President HR based at Mumbai, wherein he managed HR issues of diversified businesses.
Rakesh’s 30 years experience has been across different areas in HR including building and maturing management teams M&A integration, change interventions and creating high performing teams. He has a keen insight into people and people processes and brings vast experience in organisation and individual development processes.
His skills at HR process design, change management initiatives are complimented by his delivery capability having implemented HR projects covering HR strategy, organisation design and restructuring, selection, job evaluations, rewards and recognitions, competency framework assessment centres, leadership development and Industrial relations.
Rakesh is a certified coach from Blessing & White UK and enjoys mentoring and coaching. He has been a Guest Speaker at many HR conferences in India & overseas. Rakesh has delivered lectures at various management Institutes and has been the President of Delhi Management Association while being actively associated with the National HRD network.
Rakesh has won many awards including 40 Best HR professionals of the country by ET Now and has presented papers in various management forums. He is an MBA from Podar Institute of Management, University of Rajasthan Jaipur.
